지난 10월 21일, 필리핀 GKS 동문회가 2022 온라인 콜로퀴움을 개최했습니다.

김보람 주필리핀 대한민국대사관 제1서기관이 축사와 함께본 행사의 취지를 소개하였습니다. Ivy Angel Gutierrez Estrella 동문(2017년 초청, 한양대학교)은 석사학위논문 "Learning Mathematics in Two Languages: Students’ Use of Code-Switching and Code-Mixing in Filipino Mathematics Clas"을 공유하였습니다. 수학교사로 장기간 경력이 있는 Delia Mendoza씨와 언어문화교육 전문가 Jovy Peregrino 박사가 발표와 관련하여 통찰력 있는 피드백을 제공하였습니다. Michelle Palumbarit 박사가 본 행사를 담당, 관리하였습니다. 필리핀 동문회 회장과 GKS 홍보사절을 겸하고 있는 Ronel Laranjo 동문이 필리핀 동학들에게 필리핀 국내의 사회적 이슈들을 해결하는 데 필요한 색다른 견해들을 얻을 수 있도록 유학을 권하는 폐회사를 전하며 콜로퀴엄의 막을 내렸습니다.​ 

GKS Philippines Alumni Association (GKS PHAA) held its annual 2022 Online Colloquium last October 21, 2022.

First Secretary Boram Kim of the Korean Embassy gave the opening remarks and introduced the importance of the colloquium. Ms. Ivy Angel Gutierrez Estrella, 2017 GKS Fellow and a graduate of MA Mathematics Education in Hanyang University shared her master’s thesis entitled “Learning Mathematics in Two Languages: Students’ Use of Code-Switching and Code-Mixing in Filipino Mathematics Class.” Ms. Delia Mendoza, a long-time mathematics teacher and Dr. Jovy Peregrino, language and culture education expert gave their insightful reactions to the topic. Dr. Michelle Palumbarit moderated the online event. GKS PHAA President and GKS Publicity Envoy Ronel Laranjo concluded the colloquium with his closing remarks by encouraging Filipino scholars to study abroad to gain a different perspective on solving Philippine society’s issues.
